A very honest book, and cool, about an amazing man, and more about the authors world really, written out of a pure fascination, trust, and love, of U.G.
This is a totally amazing account of a wild and woolly spiritual rollercoaster ride with the late UG Krishnamurti. UG is a man who cannot easily be described in words, but Brawley manages to bring him to us through some remarkable writing. Leave your expectations behind as you open this book, and say "goodbye" to them...you just might not see them again!
great book for insane people
Fascinating book about a fascinating individual ... (and a stunning cover!)
Extremely insightful account.
Goner is a beautiful finger pointing at the Moon. This is an authentic experience skillfully related in an engaging ,highly readable manner.
There is a very real fragrance that lingers----
A haunting, sensitive and extraordinary book. Louis Brawley is a gifted writer. A subtle, profoundly moving and overwhelmingly honest account of the years Brawley spent with UG Krishnamurti as a 'disciple', friend and caregiver, the book explores the transformation effected by one man in the life of another. 'Goner' leaves an aftertaste that lingers long after you reach its end.
one of my favorite books, of any genre, a work of art!
I have read 'Goner' once and plundered text from it during the second reading which remained incomplete which I assume is part of its hidden meaning.
One of my favorite books about the author's relationship to an extraordinary man.
An intriguing, unpredictably candid description of the life of a spiritual teacher whose approach to conveying truth was both unorthodox and outrageous. UG Krishnamurti was an extraordinary wise one. This lively, literate biography—neither syrupy nor formulaic—does him justice.
