Synopsis

Described as 'Sergeant Pepper meets Dr Dolittle,' this is a wacky, wild animal adventure like no other as these competitive creatures crawl and claw and charge - and cheat! - their way to the finish line. There's chocolate submarines and coconut balloons, even banana diggers (the swines!), in this weasel-cheats-puffin world.

Raised in a den - on a farm - in Gloucestershire.

Educated by dogs. 

Shipped to San Francisco. 

Worked as a toupee for a balding poet.

Learned to write and read the word 'piano'. 

Joined a rock-group as a hairy chest. 

Returned to UK. 

Voted London's best-dressed caveman. 

Began collaborating with fellow Neanderthal Angus. C. Mackinnon. 

Made some toast. 

Wrote a surreal poem based on real events.

Loved this book - my 5 year old son loves the fact that goody two-shoes Unicorn wins in the end. Both the story and illustrations felt like a breath of fresh air.

Amazing, Different
An amazing large format illustrated children's book that will will keep both parents and kids amused. I have heard that there is going to a really cool musical extravaganza to accompany the book at some point, so I cannot wait to have that too.

This is such a vibrant book, and a joy to read as an adult to my nephew.
This book was a delight to read with the children I support through the Beanstalk literacy charity at St Mary's Primary School in Battersea. They love verse and they were intrigued by the illustrations! A very engaging book.
