Synopsis
The bodies keep piling up, not really surprising in church precincts. And it's DI Bob McInnis who keeps finding them. Some of them aren't dead yet, which is quite a surprise when your work involves investigating murder victims. One of the bodies is DI Sandy Bell; he hasn't lost his life, just his memory, which makes life difficult for him.

Reader Comments
Not just a gripping story - though it is - the book has depth as well. The detectives have a believable background and are real characters, ditto the others.Once read fast for the outcome, it can bear a second reading for the detail and the moral dilemmas contained. It's a good read that leaves you with much to think about. I enjoyed this book hugely.
Don't start this. late in the day as you won't be able to put it down! Kept me guessing right to the end
An excellent read - kept me going from start to finish, and kept me up late!
A book with depth and interest in many ways - this is a detective story that is alive because it is about people's real emotions and dilemmas - and is a page-turner - don't start reading late at night if you need to get up early - I found it very difficult to put down.
