A brilliant book and very well written. I've never read a book in two days before and I really couldn't put it down. The characters and the area all come to life and I would recomend it to anyone.
A fascinating book. The two storylines run beautifully together, told with all the skill of a natural writer. From the first page to the last I was totally enchanted by the characters, and their lives intertwining with each other.

A compelling book from someone who is obviously a natural storyteller. Totally absorbing, and moves at a pace that makes the book almost impossible to put down! The writing is beautifully balanced, inducing both anger and laughter, but above all leaving you with the feeling that you have been there and know the characters personally. Thoroughly recommended.
an excellent well written book. A believable story, believable characters.. I cared about what happened to them. a real page turner, it kept me up late reading a few nights as I couldnt wait to find out what the next chapter held. It combined my two favourite passions, Pembrokeshire and family history. I've already recommened it to several friends and colleagues.
A great read, evocatively contrasting the lives of Gwen and Sarah. Vivid characterisation and chilling atmosphere. The truth and Sarah's discovery of it is grippingly told.
I was captivated right from the beginning by the very realistic stories of both protagonists' lives (from two very different situations). At times I felt angry and wanted to rage about some of the injustices told. It is a book that really gets your heart pumping! Yet I also found myself laughing out loud at some of the witty remarks and entertaining descriptions that are found throughout. A beautiful piece of work!
Definitely one you can't put down! A well-written and gripping mystery.
