An excellent resource. I would highly recommend any of the titles from Pictures to Share.
I am a librarian and we've stocked both individual copies and sets of Pictures to Share Books. These have been used by dementia care homes, individuals and families caring with those with dementia. The feedback has been overwhelming positive. There is simply nothing else like these out on the market and they are beautifully put together.
Having seen Pictures to Share books in action I know that they are fabulous and effective in enabling communication and enjoyment for people with Dementia.
Very happy to support Pictures to share. Best of luck!
An ideal way to enjoy the therapeutic value of a link with nature
Another beautifully produced book from Helen Bate at Pictures to Share.
Lovely idea, beautifully designed
Great book and works brilliantly with Dementia sufferers. Great work in general by pictures to share!
Just lovely - a sumptuous book - and a wonderful concept......
I wish this book had been available whilst my mother was alive and in the advanced stages of dementia.
I would recommend the use of any pictures to share books for people who have a diagnosis of dementia. In my role as Dementia Triage we encourage staff to support people to use both the pictures and the words for conversation and engagement and on the majority of occasions this leads to group discussions and inclusion for all people, no matter how progressed they are on their personal dementia journey. I wish you the best of luck for your future and look forward to continuing to use your books for years to come, Angie Marshall
Well up to the excellent standard of the whole series. These are fun and stimulate imagination, memory and conversation without patronising.
A very easy on the eye book. It asks to be read. Beautiful illustrations that delight those whose memory is getting shaky. I love this book.
A really good resource to stimulate memory, reminisence and conversation
I liked the illustrations and the historical links. I could envisage using it in a group work setting.
On account of the little known facts contained in the concise texts, this book will be of particular interest to carers and sharers as well as being a pleasure to all with its beautiful, attention catching, thought provoking and often moving or humorous pictures. A wonderful addition to an already successful and effective series of books especially created for people with dementia.
This is such an important resource for people with dementia and anyone supporting individuals.Lovely pictures and easy to read just great for reminiscence. My Mum will love it. Good Luck from Shirley Law
The wonderfully powerful photographs illustrate these sayings perfectly and the book will be a valuable resource for those working with older people with dementia. The professional quality of books such as this is really important. Des Kelly OBE Executive Director, National Care Forum

L love those jackdaws. Lovely clear image which should trigger the rhyme from memory
This series of books is inspirational for people with dementia.
Wonderful graphics and poignant book. I look forward to ordering it and using it with our participants with mid to late stage dementia.
Recommended for cognitive stimulation therapy - helping people with dementia
I work with people living with dementia. The beautiful images in these books alone can stimulate the most wonderful conversations. I have seen time and again how people living with dementia can often finish a popular phrase or proverb far in to their dementia journey and the delight the success can bring. Adding the two together in a beautiful package is genius. I'm a big fan!
It strikes a chord with those with dementia. "A lovely book".
Essential reading for anyone that knows someone with this disease, really great for raising awareness
Great idea, and well needed. This is a very good book, and anyone in contact with people who have started there journey of dementia should consider using. With Dementia you need a tool box of ideas and items that can be used to help aid communication.Pictures/images and words can help stimulate the mind with memories and thoughts on the past and the present. This book would be a great tool to add to a Dementia activity tool box of physical and mental stimulation. this book could promote or provoke thoughts and encourage participation in activities and social interaction. well done, great work. regards Tony Duke. .M.I.H.P.E., MRSPH, MBAOT
This is a beautiful book with sympathetic photographs to acompany the proverbs, sayings and added information.
Michelle has worked hard to promote awareness of Dementia. Very well deserved nomination!
This book & others in the range have been a valuable resource for our acute inpatient wards at LYPFT. They give us the ability to communicate and engage with our service users in a person centred at theraputic way, and support our person centred care plan by helping us explore life stories.
This series of books was a great help in communicating with my mother, who has dementia. It helped us to share stories, laugh and even sing together. The books are beautifully produced - strong with wonderful illustrations.
A lovely book to share between generations.
excellent
This is a wonderful book, rich and lively conversations have been be triggered by the images and words. The beautiful images evoke memories and emotions that can be shared. This book is from a series that has enhanced the living experience for those living with dementia.
I very much like the concept of well-known phrases being used to stimulate memories and discussion. The photographs and layout are clear and accessible.
Very apt for those with dementia, who are usually better with long-term memory of incidents, reminiscing etc. The excellent pictures should help with clues to the proverbs.
An excellent book, beautifully illustrated . Part of a wonderful series that improves the quality of life for people with severe dementia .
Great idea to stimulate early learning memories
